All good things come to an end as Sébastien “Ceb” Debs is the next to announce his departure from the OG main roster to focus on coaching.

The news comes just one day from Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka’s retirement and Anathan “ana” Pham’s extended break announcement, leaving the reigning TI champion with only two active players.

In the official article, Ceb cited his decision was due to wanting to find new challenges and wanting to give back to the community . As JerAx, Ceb will remain with the organization, occupying a spot where he “will be able to help all teams and players with increasing their performance”. It’s unclear whether this position will be within just the Dota 2 department of the organization or an extensive one.

‘I feel like it’s time for me to find ways to give back. I see players around me with incredible talent and infinite drive. I want to help them achieve their dreams and find the success I believe they rightfully deserve. Making this whole thing about my own personal competitive goals leaves me with a bitter taste.’ said Ceb.

’ll be able to put my experience to even better use alongside these talents. I do not want this to sound like a definitive retirement, even though it could very well end up being it. I love the surprises that comes with life, therefore I’ll always keep every door open.’

Ceb was known as a very knowledgeable person within the Dota 2 community who regularly shared his thoughts and tactical mind on streams, interviews and his blog. He then grew to become one of the best analysts the game ever had before his eventual position at OG as a coach and an active player. It is at OG that Ceb led the teams to win 3 Majors and become the first back-to-back The International champion. He is one of the two players (aside from Zhou) who has a chat wheel line in-game which stems from his game winning call during the grand final of TI8.

While leaving, Sébastien has assured OG fans that their two remaining players Johan “N0tail” Sundstein and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen will still participate in this DPC season with their coach Titouan “Sockshka” Merloz.
