Modern Warfare Teases Price as Season Four Operator

Updated:

Modern Warfare teases Price as Season Four Operator in a new video clip. This follows unusual sounds in-game, phone calls in Russian, cryptic messages to Call of Duty app-owners, and the opening of the bunkers. It’s all kicking off.

Yep, you read that right. Everyone’s favorite “what kind of name is Soap, anyway” SAS chap could be coming to Modern Warfare. In the minute-long video below, we hear a few familiar voices discussing… Modern Warfare things. It’s like watching a screen-share of a high-tech image.

Cryptic as anything

Nikolai, Watcher-1, and Echo Charlie Hotel 2-0 are all discussing a certain senior operator in the clip. Fans of the series will know that Watcher-1 is the callsign for Kate Laswell, who features heavily in the campaign. Not only this, but Nikolai is also a character with strong links to Captain Price. The three are listening to an intercepted transmission discussing the re-appearance of a Senior Operator. The rest is a little less clear on what it means, other than one particular detail.

They say it’s bad quality, but the only photo of him they have. It couldn’t more obviously be of Captain Price. The trademark, shallow-brimmed boonie hat is enough to tell fans what they need to know.

This possibility follows on from Alex being the headliner of Modern Warfare’s season three. He, if anything, could be considered a larger surprise considering the fact that [SPOILERS] he is supposedly dead at the end of the campaign. Still, I doubt anyone will have any complaints in playing the great Captain Price.

Captain Price, alongside Ghost, will be a formidable team
