The ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has caused a shortage of face masks and other equipment needed to treat the deadly virus. Nintendo donated over 9,500 face masks they had lying around in their packaging and distribution center based in North Bend to local emergency services.
The N95 respirator face masks were donated by Jerry Dawson who is a representative for Nintendo.
In a statement released on the North Bend’s government website, they said:
Danson stated the masks were originally purchased for emergency preparedness planning; however, amidst the COVID-19 crisis they knew there were needed elsewhere. Eastside Fire & Rescue staff will distribute the masks throughout the region to address immediate needs, including the City of North Bend.!
We love to see positive news during times like this. Remember to stay at home when possible to keep yourself and others safe.
