According to recent rumors first reported by VGC & Eurogamer, new Super Mario remasters are coming to the Nintendo Switch this year to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. This is likely to bridge the gap between new first-party games while keeping the Nintendo Switch a popular choice among gamers, as the PS5 and Xbox Series X are set to launch this year.

The rumors suggest that it will be Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Sunshine that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Super Mario 64 was first released on the N64 all the way back in 1996 and has become a beloved game in the series and Mario’s first jump into the world of 3D. Super Mario Sunshine was first released on the Gamecube back in 2002 and has become a cult favorite among fans with many fans asking for it to be ported to the Switch. Finally, Super Mario Galaxy was released on the Nintendo Wii in 2007 and was a fantastic game, using the Wii’s motion controls perfectly.

While this isn’t confirmed news just yet, it does seem likely that an announcement will be made in the near future.
