With VALORANT only having 11 Agents at release, there isn’t too much variety in what players can pick. Now, a data miner has poked around in the latest 1.3 gigabyte update from Thursday and found evidence of a new Agent, among other new updates. While not much is known about this agent yet, they have lightning abilities, and their name is Killjoy.
This leak was discovered by data miner Valorant Express. The leaker used patch 1.03 to discover files relating to a new agent. According to Valorant Express, there are assets with lightning effects that are connected to an upcoming release. Hidden within the files is an animation for the new Agent’s ultimate.
KIlljoy Ultimate Animation!!!
This anim is called DetainedLoopUB. I used the anim on a model of Phoenix because no model of Killjoy currently exists.
Pretty cool find, I can't tell if this anim is for Killjoy, or his "Detained" Subjects. Still involved with his ULT somehow. pic.twitter.com/gl0Ow2bTEH

That is not all! There are other images and even a full sound effects audio file for the new Agent. Unfortunately, none of these audio files contain any voice acting. This could mean the new agent is a non-speaking character. On the other hand, it may simply be too early in development for a voice actor to get into the booth. There is no confirmation on any of these leaks, however, with the amount of files in VALORANT that point to this new agent, it is a strong possibility that Killjoy will be added to the roster.
What Else Is New?
Along with the new Agent, Valorant Express found two new weapon skin sets: Fallen and Cyberpunk. While Fallen may be a series of gun skins, the fact that there isn’t a knife means it will not be a full bundle. However, VALORANT devs might decide to change how the bundle system works, or add another knife down the line. Cyberpunk, however, does come with a knife, so players can expect to see this bundle in the shop soon, if they don’t break the bank. on the new Elderflame set.
This next leak will be a huge help for all left-handed players out there. Riot should be pushing out the left-handed option in the near future. This file shows the option to change the position on your POV. The left hand view is something players wanted since launch, and it looks like it will finally be available.
Finally, there were leaks files that pointed to the map Ascent being converted into a Free-For-All map. Another game mode is sure to spice things up when players don’t feel like playing Spike Rush or the standard mode.
These new leaks are interesting, and the Agent is something that we will have to keep an eye on. If the leaks prove true, the meta may be completely switched up. It also speaks to how quickly the devs are able to push out new Agents. Since the game only came out a month ago, June 10th, there are already leaks of a new Agent! We may see new characters pushed out at a pace faster than League of Legends!
