Virtus.pro release AdreN

Updated:

Russian organization Virtus.pro has announced the departure of Dauren ‘AdreN’ Kystaubayev. The Kazakhstani veteran leaves the lineup after eight months. With AdreN on the team, Virtus.pro reached the final of the Starladder Major in the summer of 2019.

AdreN was on his second stint with the organization, after representing their colors back in 2013. The squad, spearheaded by Dzahmi ‘jame’ Ali, showed great promise, reaching the finals of a Major and, shortly after, winning Blast Moscow. But since that victory, their results have floundered, and a roster change has been rumored for quite some time. The organization has now decided that the needed adjustment is the removal of AdreN.

The 30-year old veteran has had a storied career in CS:GO. In 2017, he won the PGL Krakow Major with Gambit Esports and was named MVP of the event. But when that lineup collapsed, it took him some time to find a stable home. He played as a stand-in for FaZe Clan in 2018 but was not successful in getting a permanent position in the team. When he joined Avangar in 2019, he brought his experience to a young squad and led them to success.
